Hi!

Hello! My name is Stephanie! This is my coupon diary. I created it to share the deals I get and help others learn how to coupon and save hundreds of dollars each month!

Store brands are cheaper.

“Store brands are cheaper”

Sure, usually they are. You see some store brand baby wipes for $1 less than name brand and of course you are going to buy those.

But,sometimes stores are tricky:

Yesterday I went to Target to look for Pamper’s Kandoo wipes. The Kandoo wipes cost $1.42. I have a $1 off coupon which makes them 42 cents each! The Up and Up Target brand wipes (that even said “compare to Pamper’s Kandoo) were $1.98! Silly isn’t it? Even without the $1 coupon the store brand was more expensive! Sometimes stores just hope you assume the store brand is cheaper without even looking at the prices. They are trying to trick you!

But yes, most store brands are cheaper usually than name brands. So,how is it that you can get name brands for pennies or even free??

Once again, the answer is WAIT FOR THE SALE! :)

Example:This week at Albertson’s the Purex Crystal’s fabric softener is on sale for $2.99.
(Usually this can be almost $6 in some stores!) There are $2 off coupons from a newspaper insert a few weeks ago. That makes them 99 cents for 32 loads. Which is still a great deal. But,it gets better! After you buy one,the register prints off a $1 off your next order Catalina. That means you can go ahead and buy another one for $2.99,use the $2 off coupon AND the $1 off Catalina and get it completely FREE! You won’t find deals like that at the dollar store!

And for those that don’t have Albertson’s you can get this product for free at Target also. Same deal,on sale (or “price cut”) at $2.99. Use the $2 off coupon plus use the $1 off printable Target coupon from Target.com and voila! Free NAME BRAND fabric softener. And not only is this name brand but everyone I know who has used this product LOVES it. They say it makes your clothes smell SO good. I’d say it’s definitely worth trying when you can get it for free, wouldn’t you?
